Try these troubleshooting tips if you are having issues downloading data from your weather station onto a thumb drive:
- Ideally, use the red USB thumb drive that was supplied with the station.
- If another USB drive is used, it must be formatted as FAT32.
- When saving to the USB drive, monitor the status LED. It should initially light green and stay green while data is being copied. Once complete, the LED will quickly flash green for about 1 second. If the download fails, the LED will flash red for about 1 second.
- If the LED lights green for about 3 seconds and then flashes red, it may indicate that the USB drive is not recognized.
- Attempt a download without using the Watchdog Mobile App:
- Insert the USB drive.
- Hold the station’s button down until the LED changes to amber and release the button.
